How much Lye or Potassium is a standard amount to use when making biodiesel?
As a rule of thumb there is typically 1oz of Lye or 1.33oz Potassium per gallon

If I want to make soap from the glycerin what do I use to make liquid soap?
Whan making soap from glycerin you must use the same product as what you made your biodiesel from. If you used Lye then you must use lye to make the soap. If you used Potassium then use Potassium to make soap. Potassium Makes liquid Soap and Sodium Hydroxide Lye makes harder soap.  SOAP MAKING INSTRUCTIONS
